How to create your first event
- Sign in and open your organiser workspace.
- Choose Create event.
- Complete the event basics, date/time, venue, admission, discovery and artwork.
- Save as a draft whenever you need to stop.
- Preview the public page and correct anything unclear.
- Publish when the event is ready. If you want to sell paid tickets through nawhe?, finish payout setup before opening sales.
How to choose tickets or registration
- Open the event and go to Admission.
- Choose how people will eventually attend: nawhe? tickets, free RSVP, tickets sold elsewhere or no registration.
- If tickets are not on sale yet, choose Register Interest, Announced or Tickets Coming Soon.
- For nawhe? tickets, add the ticket types you need, such as Regular, VIP or Table.
- Set the price, quantity and sale dates where applicable.
- Preview the public event page before promoting it.
How to set up UK payouts
- Open Payments & payouts in your organiser workspace.
- Choose Set up UK payouts.
- Stripe will ask whether the money is being received by you as an individual or by an organisation, then request the identity and bank details needed for that situation.
- Complete the secure steps with Stripe and return to nawhe?.
- When the payout account is ready, paid ticket sales through nawhe? can open.
You do not need to create a company simply to organise an event. You can prepare free, interest-only or externally ticketed events before payout setup is complete.
How to set up Nigerian payouts
- Open Payments & payouts in your organiser workspace.
- Choose the Nigerian bank you want to use.
- Enter a bank account you are authorised to receive event earnings into.
- nawhe? asks Paystack to verify the account and prepare supported NGN payouts.
- When the payout status is ready, test your event checkout before public promotion.
You never need nawhe?'s Paystack login or secret account details.
How to add event staff
- Open the event management workspace.
- Go to the staff/access area.
- Add only the people who need event-day access.
- Give each person only the role they need.
- Remove access when it is no longer needed.
How to check guests in
- Open the event's door/check-in workspace.
- Prepare the offline guest list before doors open if you expect poor internet access.
- Start the camera scanner, or enter a ticket code manually.
- Confirm the guest is marked as checked in before admitting another copy of the same ticket.
- Synchronise queued offline check-ins when connection returns.
How to find and manage attendees
- Open the relevant event.
- Search by name, email, booking reference or ticket.
- Use exports only when they are genuinely needed to run the event.
- Keep attendee information protected and do not add people to unrelated marketing without the appropriate permission or legal basis.
How to handle a refund request
- Find the booking and confirm the event/ticket involved.
- Review the event terms, what happened and any refund rights that apply.
- Approve the refund only when it should be given.
- Confirm the related ticket is updated after processing.
- Remember that the attendee's bank or card service controls when returned money becomes visible.
If the ticket was bought elsewhere, the organiser and that ticket provider handle the refund process.
