Quick answers, without the jargon.

For organisers and attendees using nawhe?.

ORGANISERS

Getting started

Do I need a company before I can organise an event?

No. An organiser can be an individual, sole trader, company, charity or other eligible organisation. If you want to sell paid tickets, the payout setup will ask for the details appropriate to whoever should receive the earnings.

Do I need Stripe or Paystack before joining nawhe?

No. Create your organiser profile and prepare your events first. You only need to complete payout setup before paid ticket sales through nawhe? can open.

Can I publish while my payout setup is incomplete?

Yes, where the other event requirements are complete. You can also use Register Interest, free RSVP, open admission or tickets sold elsewhere while paid nawhe? sales are not ready.

Can I use another ticketing website?

Yes. Your event can still be discovered on nawhe? while ticket purchase happens on another service.

Can I take payment at the venue?

Yes, where that admission option is available for the event. You remain responsible for any payment you take outside nawhe?.

PAYMENTS & PAYOUTS

Getting paid

How do UK organisers get paid?

Set up UK payouts from your organiser workspace. Stripe securely collects the identity and bank details needed for the person or organisation receiving the money. Once the setup is ready, paid ticket sales can open and eligible earnings can be paid to that bank account.

Do I have to be a registered company in the UK?

No. You can be paid as an individual where that matches your situation, or through an organisation such as a company or charity. Stripe will ask for the information required for the option that applies to you.

How do Nigerian organisers get paid?

Add a Nigerian bank account you are authorised to receive event earnings into. nawhe? uses Paystack to verify the details and prepare supported NGN payouts.

What if I already have a corporate bank account but no online payment account?

That does not stop you joining nawhe?. Complete the payout setup when you are ready to sell paid tickets. You do not need to build or maintain your own online checkout.

Does nawhe? hold my ticket earnings in a wallet?

No general withdrawable nawhe? wallet is used for this flow. The Sales section shows what nawhe? has recorded, while your connected payment/bank account shows when money has actually arrived.

EVENTS & TICKETS

Managing an event

Can I edit an event after publishing?

Yes. Normal edits are designed to preserve existing bookings and tickets. If you make an important change, tell affected attendees clearly.

Can I collect interest before tickets go on sale?

Yes. Use Register Interest or Tickets Coming Soon to build an audience before opening ticket sales on the same event.

Can staff check guests in without my main login?

Yes. Give event-specific access to the people helping at the door instead of sharing your organiser login.

What if internet access is poor at the venue?

Prepare the offline guest list before doors open and test it at the venue. When connection returns, queued check-ins can be synchronised.

ATTENDEES

Bookings & refunds

Do I need an account to get a ticket?

No for supported guest checkout. Your confirmation email gives you access to the booking and PDF ticket.

When is my ticket confirmed?

Your ticket is confirmed when nawhe? shows the booking as confirmed and issues the ticket. Starting a payment on its own is not enough.

Who handles a refund?

For tickets sold through nawhe?, refund handling follows the event terms, circumstances and applicable law. If you bought the ticket elsewhere, the organiser and that ticket provider handle the refund.

How quickly will a refund appear?

After a refund is processed, your bank or card service controls how quickly the returned money appears.
