About this event

Manchester welcomes Felabration for the first time with Rhythm of Africa – Felabration 2026, a live celebration of Fela Kuti, Afrobeat and the culture that continues to inspire generations.

Headlining the night is Dele Sosimi, former keyboardist with Fela Kuti’s Egypt 80 and one of Afrobeat’s leading ambassadors.

He’ll be joined by Olúṣégun & The Stallion Band, a six-piece Afrobeat band from Lagos, and genre-bending bassist and artist Ārà.

Taking place during Black History Month, expect a powerful evening of live instrumentation, African rhythms, culture and the unmistakable energy of Afrobeat at Manchester’s Band on the Wall.
